Former Fugees star, Wyclef Jean, has lost possession of his Florida home, a little over week after pop singer Michael Jackson relinquished deeds to his NeverLand ranch. The property will now reportedly be sold at auction on 12 December after entering foreclosure.

Jean bought the Miami Beach mansion in 2004, taking out a $2m (£1.3m) mortgage through a corporation he owns with several friends.

Following a plethora of legal problems, construction was never finished on the house, and Jean also garnered thousands of dollars in fines from Miami Beach city officials after the $900,000 (£600,000) renovation project floundered.

Jean's corporation is now said to owe the bank more than $2.4m (£1.6m). Court records also claim the star has failed to pay the employees who worked on the building, according to website AllHipHop.com.
