With demand for property in Romania waning, the average price of a home in the outskirts of the capital of Bucharest has depreciated by over 20% so far this year, according to Romanian publication Ziarul Financiar.

The data compiled by Ziarul Financiar was calculated from sales advertisements on property portal, anuntol.ro, and shows that the worst price fall has been recorded in the Drumul Taberei district (-25.2%). The best performing area was Stefan cel Mare, where prices rose by 6.9%.
