We are a charitable housing association based in Petersfield, Hampshire, with approximately 4,450 properties in the East Hampshire, Chichester, Havant, Gosport and Portsmouth areas.
In addition to providing high quality, affordable housing to our residents, we also offer services to others in the communities we serve, such as low cost repairs, an emergency alarm call service and a care attendant scheme. We also offer conference and catering facilities for local businesses, at RKdia in Horndean.
Drum Housing Association was formed on 1st October 2002 when the Board, in consultation with our residents and stakeholders, decided to consolidate the two elements of the former Drum Housing Group - East Hampshire Housing Association (EHHA) and Hangras Housing Association (HHA) - into a single entity.
EHHA was the result of a large-scale voluntary transfer of social housing stock from East Hampshire District Council, while HHA was also created by EHDC originally as a development vehicle. Together, the two Associations formed Drum Housing Group Ltd in 1996 - the first non-charitable Housing Company to be registered by the Housing Corporation. The name Drum can be traced back to the river Drum, which runs close by our Petersfield offices.
In December 2006 Drum became part of the Radian Group, a new group in the social housing sector which also includes Swaythling Housing Society, Windsor Housing Association, and Turnstone Support.
