Weston Homes PLC - new homes for sale in London
What House? Awards 2008 - Best Medium Housebuilder - Gold Award Winner
The Company was formed in 1987 by Bob Weston. He took his considerable experience in the building industry to set up what has now become Weston Group Plc.
From the first development, a four bedroomed, detached house in Essex, the Weston Group has grown rapidly and its portfolio of new build products now includes large high-rise developments in London’s Docklands. The Company has specialised from the outset in the regeneration of Brownfield sites becoming a leader in this area of development.
You can study the build quality and admire the architectural innovation, but the best judge of every property is always the buyer. Weston Homes published the visitors book at Mayfield Grange – a conversion and new-build scheme in East Sussex. Here is a selection: ‘The most beautiful conversion I have ever seen’. ‘Excellent blend of old and new’. ‘Restoration and attention to detail magnificent’.
The list of eulogies goes on. Weston Homes does contemporary with equal aplomb. Bridges Wharf in Battersea is 266 apartments and penthouses and QV in Colchester a 155-apartment scheme.
Barton Mill in Canterbury combines the restoration of a Grade I-listed Georgian terrace and the re-building of the Mill, with brand new houses and apartments. It is a broad portfolio from a company with exacting standards. Brown is its land colour of choice and they are skilled at fusing together mixed-use sites, with commercial, retail and leisure where appropriate.
The firm labels itself ‘a rescuer of dilapidated buildings, and a reclaimer of contaminated land’. With short-sighted environmental lobby groups still pumping out the myth that all builders are pillagers of the countryside, they should take a look at some of Weston’s schemes.
Weston can point to its environmental veracity too and is developing its first full eco-homes site in Eltham.
Project Genesis is another mark of its innovation, manufacturing house parts in factory controlled conditions, speeding up internal finishing programmes, improving product quality and reducing site waste.
A company with a strong brand and strong leadership, led by one of the most respected industry figures Bob Weston. The company is based near Stansted Airport in a business centre designed, built and managed by Weston Homes. All-round quality here abounds, with an understated X factor that sees the company bag the gold.
