Dalyan

Dalyan is a small resort closely located to Dalaman airport, with around 4000 residents.

The area is a real tourist hot-spot. Each year, thousands of tourists travel to Dalyan and take one of the river boats, and spend the day seeing some of Turkey's most famous sites. From the ancient ruins of Kaunos, and the sea and fresh water turtles, to the thermal mud baths - Dalyan has plenty to offer.

The area has unspoilt countryside, with a beautiful meandering river, and stunning mountain backdrop.

The river separates the area of Kaunos from Dalyan. On a steep slope just opposite the town of Dalyan, sizeable rock tombs which belong to the people of Kaunos can be seen.
