A new scheme launched by Barratt West Scotland could tempt house buyers to purchase a new build property in the region.
Would-be homeowners are being offered the chance to buy a Barratt home for 75 per cent of the price, while the housebuilder will pick up the bill for the remaining 25 per cent using a deferred loan.
Sales director at Barratt West Scotland Stuart MacColl explained: "This isn't shared ownership - it's your home and you own 100 per cent of it, but you only pay 75 per cent of the purchase price now."
The offer is only available on selected plots at developments in the west of Scotland that include sites in Glasgow, Western Gate, Kings Court Paisley, Linwood Ochil View, Meadowbrok, Maddison and Greenacres in Airdrie.
Recently, Andrew Ashley, a site manager with Barratt Eastern Counties, scooped the National House-Building Council's Quality Award in its Pride in the Job competition.
