Persimmon optimism as sales and profits rise
Persimmon is to open 75 new sites in the next few months as the firm expressed "optimism" about its business and announced a half year underlying profit of £39.4 million compared with a £16.7 million loss last year.

Sales boost at Persimmon
Total sales at Persimmon are 20% ahead of this time last year at around £1.15 billion, the company has announced. Sales volumes are about 11% ahead including a higher level of private sales and prices remain firm.
