Life on the square
Academy Place occupies the site of the former St Saviours College, and has been designed as an enclosed, landscaped square. A selection of 18 one and two bedroom apartments is available on a part-buy, part-rent basis.
London’s southern upper ground
Academy Place sits at the lower reaches of a raised area of land which leads up Gipsy Hill into Crystal Palace. Not surprisingly the views over London are sweeping; as important, though, this part of London enjoys some of the capital’s cleanest air. Nearby green spaces are plentiful, and include Norwood Park and Crystal Palace Park with its model dinosaurs and sports centre
A relaxed village vibe
Academy Place is within easy walking distance of both Crystal Palace and West Dulwich, two of south London’s more relaxed urban villages. Largely and blissfully free from many of the ubiquitous chains, both areas boast a wealth of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Crystal Palace and Dulwich are also steeped in history, with Dulwich College and Dulwich Picture library and, of course, the foundations of the famous crystal palace exhibition hall being several of the more notable surviving structures
