Location

Burnbank Meadows nestles in an attractive setting to the north east of Kinross, a popular rural town which brims with history. Conveniently located just 26 miles by motorway from Edinburgh and 16 miles from Perth, Burnbank Meadows is ideal for commuting.
A family environment, Kinross boasts its own leisure centre, schools, inns, shops and even a spinning mill. The town offers tree lined parks in which to relax and immediate access to the Perthshire countryside.

On the west of Loch Leven and dating from medieval times, this Perthshire community developed around a hostelry that was frequented by royal travellers on their way between residences. With Loch Leven Castle as a major stronghold and Kinross House, one of Scotland's first 'country houses', the town expanded in the 18th and 19th century as a coaching centre, textile town, railway junction and administration centre. Kinross is also noted for its cutlery trade and historic events such as the Jooley Fair - the year's main event.
