Sugar House is a rare refurbishment of a grade II listed building 1 mile from the City of London.
Sugar House sees the spectacular transformation of 99 Leman Street, E1. Built in 1887 by the Co-operative Wholesale Society, the elegant Grade II listed Victorian structure served as their grand headquarters, as well as a sugar warehouse. Located on the corner of Leman Street and Hooper Street, the elegant seven storey facade is constructed in brick, granite and portland stone whilst the internal is being converted for luxury living with a striking collection of individual apartments creating a fusion of old and new.
The penthouses have light and spacious interiors with original arched timber windows and a stylish specification, providing elegant finishing touches which compliment the building. The original grand entrance lobby, boardroom ceiling and grand staircase have all been restored and rejuvenated to their former glory.
The development also has a Featured clock tower, a one quarter replica of Big Ben which has been restored to working order and is a beautiful feature within the area.
Some penthouses offer patios, balconies or terraces with views of the lovely internal courtyard.
The development is close to London’s Square Mile and is on the doorstep of the Capital’s thriving finical hub. Further more it has superb transport connections with Bank and Liverpool Street just a 15 minute walk away and an excellent choice of underground, DLR and rail connections and is in the close proximity to City Airport.
