Drayton View enjoys new play areas, nature trails and cycleways, plus its own pub (the 18th century listed building that was once Middlemore Farm has been lovingly converted) and a convenience store. Nearby is Drayton Reservoir - one of the best for carp fishing in England and surrounded by trees and waterside vegetation.  It also feeds into the Grand Union Canal, which is a conservation area and has lovely towpath walks. The 140 acre Daventry Country Park is also nearby, which boasts another impressive reservoir, along with circular walks, picnic areas and a nature reserve that attracts many rare species of birds and flowering plants.

The town has a small historic centre with a street market twice a week and a farmers market on the first Saturday of each month.  Two supermarkets which are Tesco and Waitrose are within the town centre, with many other shops and stores offering a variety of services.
