A great location...
Gadbury Fold is perfectly located in so many ways, sitting between two well-established and vibrant local communities.
With a local community...
Atherton is now a bustling market town, with the elegant, neo-Gothic Victorian church of St John the Baptist adding an architectural high note to the high street. The town centre is full of quality shops and a great selection of places to eat and drink - from established traditional pubs, to restaurants catering for all tastes and all ages.
Leigh town centre is also close by and has benefited from several regeneration initiatives including pedestrianisation and a new outside market. There's also a large retail park with many well-known names and national chains.
Or for days out...
Nearby, Pennington Flash provides the opportunity for a moment of quiet contemplation or a family day out. Gadbury Fold's appeal, though, extends beyond the immediate locality.
Whether you're getting to work or getting out for the day, you are ideally placed to take full advantage of the excellent motorway network to access the North West of England - one of the most vibrant and dynamic parts of the country.
The area is steeped in history and full of potential. It has a rich and varied past, from its place at the heart of the industrial revolution through to its current position at the leading edge of developing business sectors such as biotechnology, chemicals, aerospace and ICT.
Jump in your car, and you can very quickly be in the bright and lively centre of any one of the many surrounding towns and cities. Much closer, you could be taking in the friendly atmosphere of
Wigan, or enjoying the centre of Bolton, in all its Victorian grandeur.
Or you could experience the rich, cosmopolitan variety that is Manchester, with its incredible range of shopping, both in the city centre and also at the Trafford Centre, plus its incredible selection of pubs, cafes and wine bars.
Sport is also important to the area. It is the heartland of rugby league and premiership football is minutes away at Bolton's Reebok Stadium. The region is also home to a variety of theatres, art galleries, museums and cinemas.
It's not all hustle and bustle though, just as easily you could be enjoying the peace and tranquility of rural Lancashire, the picturesque village of Worsley or Rivington Moorlands, not to mention the beauty of the Lake District.
