ICON is an inspirational development in Street, Somerset; a development unique to this part of the country. A collection of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments and 2, 3, and 4 bedroom houses of both two and three storeys.
Crest Nicholson has created ICON to bring together choice, sustainability, outstanding contemporary architecture, desirable interior design, seamlessly integrated homes, open space, public space, community and environment.
LocationAround and About
ICON is located less than a mile from the centre of Street, a busy small town just south of Glastonbury, about eight miles from Wells and thirteen miles from Bridgwater. It is set close to the Quantock and Mendip Hills, and from high viewpoints you can glimpse the Bristol Channel.
Travel Links
ICON's transport infrastructure links to the A39, which is a direct route to the M5 (junction 23). From here it's north to Bristol and Gloucester, and south to Exeter. At Bristol drivers can join the M4 for Wales in the west, Berkshire and London to the east. There are also A-road connections to surrounding towns such as Bath, Frome, Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury.
Convenient public transport is a key factor in sustainable living. So, from ICON, Crest Nicholson has made it easy for you to cycle, walk or catch the bus into the centre of Street. The bus routes also link to Bristol, Wells and other major centres. The nearest train stations, all approximately half an hour's drive away, are Castle Cary, Taunton and Yeovil.

Elegant Bath
Heritage of a different kind is to be found in Bath, with its unique combination of hot springs, Roman baths and some of the country's most elegant Georgian architecture, including the world famous Royal Crescent. The city also offers a superb range of cafés, pubs, bars and restaurants. For example, you could dine in a Michelin starred restaurant or take afternoon tea in the beautiful Pump Room. Bath is perfect for shopping too: fitted into its compact centre is an amazing number of outlets, both large and small.
Bristol Fashion
To the north of Street is the historic maritime city of Bristol, whose attractions include a regenerated harbourside, many arts and cultural venues and outstanding shopping. Bristol has something to suit the most discerning shopper, from centres such as Broadmead and The Mall Galleries – soon to be joined by the new Cabot Circus – as well as chic boutiques and eclectic outlets for fashion, antiques and jewellery. You will soon discover that Bristol is also a city that takes socialising seriously. Choices include cuisine from all over the world, waterside bars and cocktail lounges, gourmet markets and the annual Organic Food Festival.
Iconic Glastonbury
Nearby Glastonbury is a mystic icon. Its reputation blends pagan and early Christian history with Camelot legend. Stories say it was the sacred Isle of Avalon; the Tor has mythic status as the hiding place of the Holy Grail; and there are magic healing springs and ancient oak trees. In more recent years, it has of course hosted the most iconic of rock festivals. It's a strange and wonderful place; and also an excellent location to shop for fashion and food.
