The development name 'Shobdon Oaks' has been derived from its beautiful rural setting and local history.  Shobdon has the largest natural lake in Herefordshire along with the remains of one of the oldest Oak trees in the country.

Shobdon Primary School was awarded an 'outstanding ofsted' for 2009/2010  Coupled with a new preschool  facility within the village, this attracts families with young children to the neighbourhood.
