From Sheerness station trains run to Sittingbourne, where you can make the connections for London Victoria and St Pancras International, Canterbury (about 50 minutes) and the Medway towns (Chatham in about 45 minutes). Local schools include a primary school in Minster, and the new Isle of Sheppey Academy, which includes five schools in east and west Sheppey for boys and girls of 11 to 19.
