Moat Housing is delighted to offer a selection of 2 and 3 bedroom homes available on a shared ownership (part buy/ part rent) basis in the village of Minster on the Isle of Sheppey. The homes are part of a larger development and there are six different house types available, all with high quality contemporary interiors and private gardens.
Sheppey is very popular with holidaymakers, and with good reason. It has wild and wonderful natural beauty, historic ports, ancient churches and traditional beach resorts. When you make your home at Spencers Park, you can enjoy all of this every day of the year. The tranquil village of Minster is the highest point on Sheppey, so there are great views all round. It has history in the form of its fine parish church and twelfth century abbey gatehouse, and the nearby beach at Minster Leas is very popular with windsurfers and anglers. Sheerness is the main town, where you’ll find shops, supermarkets, a sports centre and other amenities
Sheppey really is an island, but thanks to the new Sheppey Crossing road bridge, it now has very good connections to the rest of Kent. The A249 crosses the bridge and is a direct link to the M2 at junction 5. From Sheerness station trains run to Sittingbourne, where you can make the connections for London Victoria and St Pancras International, Canterbury (about 50 minutes) and the Medway towns (Chatham in about 45 minutes). Local schools include a primary school in Minster, and the new Isle of Sheppey Academy, which includes five schools in east and west Sheppey for boys and girls of 11 to 19.
