SHOPS
Dartford town centre is the ideal place to shop, the town centre itself is all pedestrianised, it has the traditional street shopping, with High Street branches of Marks and Spencer's, Boots and a Co-Op department store, the centre also has two purpose-built shopping centres with many fashionalble retail outlets.

The area is close to  the contemporary Bluewater shopping where a wide range of shops are all under one roof and also Lakeside, again housing super shopping facilities as well as Lakeside West with a Large Ikea superstore B and Q and other industrial size outlets. There are also Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's supermarkets within close proximity. Shops Distance (in miles)

SCHOOLS
A Primary School of the Future will be the hub of the new community when it opens in September 2009. Within walking or cycling distance of the new residential districts, the two-form entry school will provide the highest quality teaching and learning environment, with facilities that will be open to everyone who lives and works at The Bridge.

Secondary schools are also in abundance with both Dartford Boys and Girls Grammar schools in the locality. There are also several comprehensive schools and sixth form facilities nearby.Schools Distance (in miles)

TRANSPORT
Being so close to London, Dartford has excellent road, rail and bus links. These excellent transport links are only going to improve with the expansion of the international and domestic passenger station at Ebbsfleet and the introduction of new routes on the Fastrack transport system. For motorists, Dartford is linked to London via the A2 and to the Kent Coast via the A2/M2 which leads to Canterbury and Dover. Access to the M25 London Orbital  is very close. Northwards on the M25, the Dartford Tunnel / Queen Elizabeth II Bridge gives access to Essex and the North via the M1 and M11. Southwards, the M25 gives access to the M20 to Maidstone, Folkestone and Dover, the M23 to Gatwick Airport and Brighton, the A3 to Guildford and Portsmouth, and the M3 to Southampton.
The North Kent railway line provides easy access to London stations, Medway towns and the Kent coast.Transport Distance (in miles)

LEISURE
The Bridge will have lots of local facilities, ranging from the all-weather sports fields, drama studio and library at the school to the lakes and the wildlife reserve, there will be plenty of opportunities for the local community to try out new activities and develop a wide range of interests. Bluewater and Lakeside Shopping centres are only a few minutes away and will be even closer with the development of the Fastrack. Dartford football stadium has also been rebuilt and should be due for completion in September 2006, The Princes Park Stadium, will be the new home for The Darts after years of ground-sharing in other boroughs. The new Dartford Dojo, opened by HRH The Princess Royal on Thursday 23 March 2006, is expected to become a key coaching centre for the British Judo Association in advance of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and London 2012. Dartford is also on the borders of Kent, London and Essex, all home to lively socialising facilities and buzzing restaurants and pubs
