Ideally placed between the River Mole and the Surrey Hills’ ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. Yet you are by no means isolated. London Waterloo is only a 45 minute train journey away, whilst the same time is required to reach Central London by car. Gatwick and Heathrow are also easily accessible via the A243 Leatherhead bypass and Junction 9 of the M25.
The surrounding countryside hosts an abundance of recreational activities. These range from Bocketts Park Farm petting zoo and Chessington’s World of Adventures to fishing and woodland wandering in nearby Ranmore Common and Boxhill Country Park. And if you like golf, well, you’re spoilt for choice with several outstanding courses such as Tyrells Wood, Leatherhead and Effingham to name a few, all within close proximity.
The village itself has everything you need including a grocer’s, coffee shop, newsagents and a number of well regarded restaurants. But should you wander further afield, the historic market town of Leatherhead is a short bicycle journey away, where a cosmopolitan cafe culture, a large shopping centre and several excellent restaurants can be found, not to mention the famous Thorndike theatre.
You’ll find the finest local fresh farmer’s produce at the open market on Thursdays and Saturdays and there’s even a well equipped leisure centre with a swimming pool, squash, badminton and tennis courts and a gym and sauna.
The local area is served by a number of high achieving schools including Manor House, Howard of Effingham and St Teresa’s.
