Seasons is a £90 million project delivering change in Thurnscoe, to the east of Barnsley

New investment is helping to increase job opportunities in the area. For example, the Asos clothing company is relocating it’s national distribution centre to the nearby Park Springs site – creating up to 4,000 jobs in the next seven years.
High end automotive supplier Kostal – which employs 400 - has also announced plans to double turnover, whilst food store Aldi has been granted planning permission to construct a regional supply depot.

ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT Education Local schools include The Hill Primary which was recently described as ‘outstanding’ by schools inspectors from Ofsted. The new Dearne Advanced Learning Centre is a £26 million state of the art facility created by the Building Schools for the Future programme.
Leisure The land surrounding Thurnscoe is mainly rural with a local nature reserve. Footpaths and reclaimed railway lines make the countryside very accessible for those who enjoy walking whilst the beautiful and impressive Peak District is within easy reach.
Hickleton Golf Club is on the doorstep. This 18 hole undulating parkland course, designed by the famous Ryder Cup players Neil Coles and Brian Hugget, has developed into one of the finest and most challenging courses in the region.
At the neighbouring village of Goldthorpe is the recently renovated Dearne Playhouse whilst nearby Barnsley, which is rapidly transforming, will soon be the home of a multi million pound museum and already has one of only three design centres in the country.

Just ten minutes drive away, at Cortonwood, are major national retailers such as Morrisons, Next, Boots and B&Q while the Meadowhalll shopping centre at Sheffield can be reached in less than half an hour. Transport Seasons lies approximately 9 miles west of Doncaster and east of Barnsley in heart of the Dearne Valley. There are excellent road links to A1(M) approximately 5 miles away and Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield are all easily reached.
Thurnscoe also has a train station. Known as the Wakefield line, trains run between Leeds and Sheffield, regularly stopping at Thurnscoe station. This makes Thurnscoe an ideal commuter town.
The Doncaster Sheffield International Airport provides travel to numerous destinations throughout Europe and North Africa.
