Beatty Court celebrates Nantwich in Bloom
McCarthy & Stone is thanking residents of Beatty Court for its efforts in supporting Nantwich's bid for the Britain in Bloom title with a party for all to enjoy.
The development's grounds, which have previously scooped Gold and Silver awards at Nantwich in Bloom, have this year been transformed into a spring time work of art by garden landscapers, Mike Webster & Son.
The town was selected from over 1,000 entries to take part in the 2012 Royal Horticultural Society's UK Finals, with the judges' final visit taking place on 3rd August.
But no matter what the outcome, McCarthy & Stone is saying well done and thank you to all who helped make it possible by hosting a party at the development from 1pm until 4pm on August 7th to mark the occasion.
Mike Farrell, house manager for McCarthy & Stone's Beatty Court, said: "We wanted to really go the extra mile this year in order to make Nantwich stand out, especially with it being shortlisted for the prestigious title of Britain in Bloom this year.
"Everyone has pulled together and the place looks fantastic so what better way to recognise this and say thank you than by celebrating everyone's efforts with a party.
"Mike and his son, Steve have done a smashing job - the grounds look fantastic and I'm sure the judges were impressed!"
Britain in Bloom is the nation's largest environmental campaign where more than 200,000 volunteers across the country work together in a bid to improve the look and feel of their communities by planting a host of trees, shrubs and bulbs.
The 2012 results will be announced in October at a special Awards Ceremony in St Peter Port, Guernsey, where one of the finalists will be hailed overall champion.
McCarthy & Stone offers secure yet low-maintenance environments in which the over 60's can make the most of their retirement years, with the peace of mind that they still own their own property.
Situated on Holland Walk, just a short distance from the Elizabethan buildings that line the main shopping area of Nantwich, Beatty Court is a development of 63 purpose-built one and two bedroom retirement apartments designed specifically to promote independence in later life.
All apartments benefit from a host of specialist features to make life more manageable, such as electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, and a camera entry system for added security.
The development itself is perfect for those who enjoy mixing with like-minded people in a relaxing environment, and comes furnished with a dedicated communal residents' lounge and landscaped gardens, which are ideal for socialising.
