Beatty Court is backing Nantwich for Britain in Bloom
McCarthy & Stone's Beatty Court is pulling out all the stops to support Nantwich's bid for Britain in Bloom after the town was selected from over 1,000 entries to take part in the 2012 Royal Horticultural Society's UK Finals.
The development's grounds, which have previously won Gold and Silver awards at Nantwich in Bloom, have this year been transformed into a spring time work of art by garden landscapers, Mike Webster & Son.
It is hoped that the season foliage will wow the national judges when they visit later this month.
Mike Farrell, house manager for McCarthy & Stone's Beatty Court, comments: "Every year we make a real effort to get behind Nantwich in Bloom but with Nantwich being shortlisted for Britain in Bloom this year, we thought that we should really go that extra mile in order to help Nantwich stand out.
"Mike and his son, Steve have done a smashing job - the grounds look fantastic and I'm sure the judges will be impressed!"
Mike Webster, the development's garden landscaper, adds: "It's a real achievement for the town to be selected for the finals of Britain in Bloom and we're committed to doing our bit for the community. This year we've gone for a spring theme planting assorted tulips, daffodils and snow drops."
Britain in Bloom is the nation's largest environmental campaign where more than 200,000 volunteers across the country work together in a bid to improve the look and feel of their communities by planting a host of trees, shrubs and bulbs.
The 2012 results will be announced in October at a special Awards Ceremony in St Peter Port, Guernsey, where one of the finalists will be hailed overall champion.
McCarthy & Stone offers secure yet low-maintenance environments in which the over 60's can make the most of their retirement years, with the peace of mind that they still own their own property.
Situated on Holland Walk, just a short distance from the Elizabethan buildings that line the main shopping area of Nantwich, Beatty Court is a development of 63 purpose-built one and two bedroom retirement apartments designed specifically to promote independence in later life.
All apartments benefit from a host of specialist features to make life more manageable, such as electrical sockets at a raised height to reduce bending, illuminated light switches, and a camera entry system for added security.
The development itself is perfect for those who enjoy mixing with like-minded people in a relaxing environment, and comes furnished with a dedicated communal residents' lounge and landscaped gardens, which are ideal for socialising.
