Take a trip down memory lane with McCarthy & Stone
The UK's leading retirement specialist, McCarthy & Stone, is inviting the over 60's in Essex to get in the Jubilee spirit by attending a special Red White & Blue Royal High Tea at Tythe Court on White Hart Lane where they could be in with a chance to win a trip down memory lane.
The party will be taking place on 2nd June from 2pm until 5pm where guests will be treated to a spot of afternoon tea to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee and will be invited to reminisce and share their stories from the past 60 years. As well as enjoying traditional cakes and sandwiches, guests can enter the retirement developer's memory lane competition, giving one lucky person the chance to have a special memory recreated just for them. In addition, visitors will be able to take a personal tour of the impressive show complex, with staff on hand all day to answer any questions they might have.
Sharon Callcut, regional marketing manager for McCarthy & Stone, said: "The Diamond Jubilee is an exciting and pivotal event, and even more so for the generations who remember the Queen's coronation, so we thought it only apt to host a Royal High Tea to celebrate the past 60 years.
"Coming together for a big celebration reflects one of the best aspects of life at one of our developments - the sense of community. Living amongst like-minded individuals in a secure and safe environment means our residents can enjoy an independent and fulfilling retirement here and we hope our visitors will take the opportunity to join in our celebrations."
