The Chequers is a brand new development of high quality homes, brought to you by Dysart Residential, a new name but with many years of building experience
behind it. The company is owned by Dysart Developments, Derwentside Council's joint venture partner in Project Genesis.
When you look around Consett, many of the new buildings that have enhanced the town in recent years have been procured by Dysart. The new Derwentside College, the bus station, Wetherspoons, McDonalds, the Support Living sheltered housing complex and
International Cuisine - the town's largest employer - were all our projects.
No one's more at home in Consett. Committed to ExcellenceDysart is committed to Consett and its people. Any profits from increases in land values on the Project Genesis site go into a trust to enhance the townscape in Consett. The proposed new £25 million sports centre close to The Chequers, for example, is being partly funded by Project Genesis. We are also responsible for the landscaping that has transformed Consett in recent years and this will be enhanced and maintained around The Chequers to help the new homes blend into the neighbouring countryside.
We have also applied the skills and experience of our sister company, Millhouse Developments, which has been building high quality homes in the North East for the past 25 years, including a 1,000 home community in Blyth, Northumberland.
