Thames Valley Housing Association new homes for sale in Wiltshire
Thames valley Housing Association
Founded in 1966, Thames Valley Housing provides quality affordable homes in London and South East England. Drawing on 40 years of knowledge and expertise, and our exceptional standards of customer service, Thames Valley Housing is ideally placed to help you find the affordable home you’re looking for.
What is New Build Homebuy?
A government funded low cost homeownership programme formerly known as shared ownership, whereby you purchase a percentage of the property (normally with funds from a mortgage) and pay a subsidised rent on the remaining percentage. Normally there is also a monthly service charge. You can buy further shares when you can afford to. This is known as staircasing. When you buy the property outright no further rent is payable.
Thanks to government subsidy, the combined sum should be less than would be the case if you were purchasing the property fully on the open market.
Who are eligible to buy our properties?
Most applicants are first time buyers: however we also help a number of people who have previously owned property but are now unable to buy without assistance.
The government have prioritised the four groups for assistance in the following order.
