Nearby, Lilford Park includes excellent play facilities for children and Pennington Flash Country Park presents exceptional opportunities to enjoy the wildlife and walk around the 70-hectare lake. Transport
Greenwich Gardens is close to the A580, bringing Liverpool and Manchester into easy commuting range. There is a major bus station next to the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre, and a rail station around three miles away at Atherton with links to Wigan and Manchester Victoria.
