A select new development in one of Kent's prettiest villages
Just a few miles south of the county town of Maidstone you'll find Loose, an outstandingly attractive village for which the term 'picture postcard' seems to have been specially designed. Crest Nicholson has chosen this picturesque location for their new collection of 4 bedroom detached homes. A desirable new development of just thirteen homes which have been traditionally designed, ideal for a tranquil lifestyle in the heart of the beautiful Kent countryside.

The jewel of Maidstone
Loose village lies within the Loose Valley, whose stream was used in times gone by to power water mills for paper making, brewing and corn grinding. These industries are long gone, but the tranquil millponds remain, fringed by flowers with evocative names such as Meadow Sweet and Water Figwort, and are one of the characteristics of the village.

The stream winds elegantly through the lanes and gardens, patrolled by waterfowl, and with Alpine style period cottages perched on its steep banks.

Orchards and farmland surround the village, and wildlife flourishes. No wonder the Loose Valley is known as 'the jewel of Maidstone'.

Loose has a unique charm and appeal. There are many pubs and restaurants bordering the stream, a thirteenth-century church, Telford’s 1829 viaduct, and an oak tree planted to celebrate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Loose is, not surprisingly, a conservation area, and new homes such as Warnford Place are a rarity here ensuring the desirability of such a location.

Country life and family life
Warnford Place is perfect for family life. And although there's the feeling that time has stood still in Loose village education is well catered for, there are five junior and three secondary schools within a mile and a half. The surrounding countryside is typically Kentish, abounding in orchards, hop gardens and strawberry fields. Local historic landmarks include Sissinghurst Castle with its famous white garden, Churchill's family home Chartwell, and Leeds Castle in its dreamlike lakeside setting. Numerous picturesque villages dot the gently undulating landscape and the North Kent coast is a short drive away. One attraction with special child-appeal is the Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway on the North Kent Downs. The Hop Farm Country Park in Paddock Wood is another fun day out.

Maidstone, the colourful county town
Maidstone has always benefited from its strategic location on the Medway, midway between London and Dover. Centuries ago it was on the pilgrim trail, and maintained its prosperity through trade and brewing. Its historic character is still highly evident, but Maidstone is also a thoroughly up-to-date thriving town with excellent connections and modern amenities.

Maidstone is approximately three miles from Warnford Place with a good bus service into town. Shoppers are spoilt for choice, with three new shopping centres and plenty of smaller outlets waiting to be discovered in the old streets. For example, Fremlin Walk has a House of Fraser and small fashion boutiques, historic Bank Street is the place to find and enjoy wine bars and restaurants, while in Gabriel's Hill the specialities are shoe shops and jewellers. Maidstone's theatre is the Hazlitt, and it boasts a new 8-screen Odeon.

In and around town, there are attractions for people of all ages. Mote Park offers 450 acres of beautiful open space and a miniature railway. Maidstone Millennium River Park is great for walks or river trips on the Allington Belle, and Whatman Park boasts a new 8-screen Odeon.
