The attraction of Chester is undeniable. This ancient and beautiful walled city on the River Dee holds endless appeal for residents and visitors alike. New homes in the area are much sought after, and Crown Fields, in its highly regarded setting just a couple of miles from the centre, will appeal on many levels. There is easy access to beautiful Cheshire countryside on the one hand, and on the other a straight road through Boughton and into the city for work or play. Commuter links with Liverpool and Manchester are also excellent.
Chesters rich and fascinating history reaches back more than 2000 years when it was a Roman fortress known as Deva. Its architecture enjoys world renown, as much for its quirkiness as its historic importance. At the heart of the city the famous cross marks the meeting point of four ancient streets, their unique 13th century double decker ‘Rows’ forming the core of the city. There is also a magnificent Roman Amphitheatre, a splendid Gothic cathedral, and numerous other buildings of architectural significance. The city walls offer a two mile walkway around the centre and a wonderful opportunity to view the sights and sounds of this thriving city.
