The Rivertime organisation, who can provide a range of craft from 12-seater launches to punts and canoes, have a base at the Thames Riviera Hotel, just a few minutes walk from the development. The town also has a wide choice of parks and green spaces, including delightful riverside walks, and there are many attractive neighbouring villages to explore.
Shopping
There is a convenience store in Bridge Road, opposite the development, and an excellent choice of food and drink retailers including Waitrose and Sainsbury's supermarkets in easy reach. In the town centre, Nicholson's Shopping Centre presents a selection of over 60 shops, ranging from famous high street names to independent traders, within two modern covered malls. Maidenhead also has a Farmers' Market held on the second Sunday of each month.
Transport
8teenthirty8 is around two miles from the M4, giving easy access to central London, approximately 30 miles away. Maidenhead Station has a frequent rail service to London Paddington, with the journey taking around 35 minutes, and Heathrow Airport is only 14 miles away.

Sport and leisure
In addition to an 18-hole golf course, close to the town centre and just a short walk from the apartments, Maidenhead has a range of indoor leisure facilities. The Magnet Leisure Centre, around 500 yards from the development, incorporates a 25-metre swimming pool, two sports halls, a BodyZone gym and a health suite. And adjacent to the Magnet Centre, the Tenpin entertainment complex includes pool tables, amusements and a diner bar, as well as 26 bowling lanes.

Entertainment
There is a 10-screen Odeon cinema in the town centre, and Maidenhead has a spectrum of meeting places ranging from the Blue River Café, just a few minutes walk from 8teenthirty8 and offering impressive views across the Thames, to Smokey Joe's Roadhouse, a live entertainment venue in the town centre. Norden Farm Centre for the Arts presents an eclectic programme of live music and drama, films and workshops, and the surrounding area includes a wide selection of restaurants, cafés and traditional country pubs.

Health care
There is a choice of GP and dental surgeries within a few minutes walk of the apartments, including two large medical practices in Cookham Road.
