The community centre has a packed calendar of events; everything from mother and toddler groups to yoga classes and ballroom dancing lessons. The town boasts great restaurants and pubs, has its own football team, the Quedgeley Wanderers, and is proud of its annual town show.
Schooling is convenient with Field Court Junior School under a mile away and a selection of specialist schools including Central Technology College just over 2 miles away. What’s more, the University of Gloucestershire offers a variety of courses.
For travel by car the M5 is a great starting point to a variety of locations. Journey along Junction 12 – north to Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool and south to Bristol or Exeter. Gloucester train station provides links to mainline services and for flights, Bristol and Birmingham are close by.
And there’s more...
Gloucester is an attractive city, shaped by its historic docks and cathedral. The bustling centre offers a great variety of shops including high street favourites.
For those that enjoy spectating, spend a day at Cheltenham Race Course or watch a match at Kingsholm, home of Gloucester Rugby Club. Life is never dull in Gloucestershire, with a rich heritage to enjoy all year round. Venture to Devil’s Chimney in Cheltenham – if you dare, or discover the Forest of Dean – inspiration for many including JRR Tolkien and JK Rowling. An exciting calendar of events awaits, highlights include the Gloucester Cheese Chase at Cooper’s Hill and The Royal Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford.
For days away there’s Bristol to the south and Birmingham to the north, each has its own character, history, excellent shopping and great nightlife. The delightful Cotswolds offer a wonderful escape from the everyday. Discover rolling hillsides, breathtaking gardens, fine houses, historic churches, and picturesque villages around every corner.
