Helston is situated in the south west of Cornwall between Falmouth and Penzance. One of the least changed towns in Cornwall, Helston’s lively market town is still home to a mixture of beautiful Georgian and Victorian architecture, the most outstanding of all being The Monument, built in 1834 and located at the end of Coinagehall Street. Coinagehall Street also hosts possibly one of the oldest private breweries in the country, the Blue Anchor. Originally a rest house for monks, the Blue Anchor converted into a tavern in the 15th century.
