The Georgian market town of Lymington enjoys a tranquil setting on the edge of the New Forest between Southampton and Bournemouth and at the western end of the Solent. You could also plan a trip to the Isle of Wight with ease, as there is a car ferry service, which operates from Lymington to Yarmouth.
There are many interesting villages in the surrounding area such as Beaulieu, which is home to the ruins of a Cistercian Abbey, dating back to 1204.
While keen gardeners should visit the international renowned nursery at Spinners Garden in Lymington where you can find a range of plants.

For the weekly shop you can choose from either Waitrose, Tesco or the newly opened Marks and Spencer food hall, all are ideally located in Lymington.
Lymington enjoys various cafés and numerous restaurants including Wistaria, a popular local restaurant, two Italian restaurants in the form of ASK and Cafe Uno and an Indian restaurant.
There are also a host of pubs to choose from should you wish to enjoy a quiet drink. Lymington also has a locally run cinema, while a Multi Screen Odeon can be found in Southampton, approximately 18 miles away.
Lymington is the perfect place for a country lifestyle with the convenience of a town. For commuters there is a railway station that can connect you to Brockenhurst, with links to London or the Isle of Wight Ferry terminal. The A337 links the town to Southampton and the M27 to the north and Bournemouth to the southwest.
