Gawcott is a red brick village with a classic stone church that rightly deserves the description of picturesque, and is just two miles to the south west of the vibrant market town of Buckingham.

With great local amenities....

Gawcott itself offers a couple of friendly, relaxed pubs: The Crown and The Cuckoo's Nest, an infant school and a village hall. Nearby Buckingham has kept its Georgian feel and has many peaceful streets lined with quaint shops, restaurants and pubs. Every day needs are also catered for with a supermarket and leisure centre only a stone's throw away.

Amongst Buckingham's selection of secondary schools is the famous Latin Grammar School, which can trace its history back to 1423 and is now a specialist science school. There is also a University, but with only 1,000 students, the town centre is certainly lively, but never too exuberant.

For the more active, Gawcott has its own football and cricket clubs and, just a steady trot away, Addington Manor Equestrian Centre caters for all standards of rider. Close to Buckingham and within easy reach of Gawcott, there are the very different but equally enjoyable attractions including Silverstone - the home of British motor racing, plus numerous ornamental temples, lakes, wooded valleys, the once home of the Temple family, and quiet corners of the truly magnificent Stowe Landscape Gardens.

Within easy reach of Gawcott are the far more urbanized Bicester and Milton Keynes. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, Bicester is now a lively market town and has on its outskirts the tempting Bicester Village Outlet Shopping, featuring the brightest brands in fashion at reduced prices.

Nearby Milton Keynes, offers everything you'd expect from a 'new' town - excellent shopping, numerous bars, restaurants and clubs, the famous Milton Keynes Bowl, Xscape, with its 16 screen multiplex cinema, hi-tech fitness centre and the UK's largest indoor 'real' snow slope, and the well equipped Willen Lake complex, with everything from sailing and water skiing to all-weather courts to meet all your football, hockey and tennis needs.

Milton Keynes is the nearest mainline station to Gawcott - about a 20 minute drive - and has Western line services running to London Euston and Birmingham. Access to the motorway network is excellent. A few minutes from Milton Keynes station is the M1, while to the south west of Gawcott is the M40.

From a rural haven to all the hustle and bustle of modern town life, Gawcott offers the best of all that is traditional and modern.

Follow the A421 towards Bicester, at the Gawcott / Tingewick roundabout turn left down Gawcott Fields. About a mile down the road, you will enter the village of Gawcott and the development can be found on the left hand side.
