A new beginning in the heart of Sutton-in-Ashfield in West Nottinghamshire, the settlement of Sutton-in-Ashfield was established back in Saxon times and the name Sutton originally meant ”sweet town” whereas Ashfield describes the great number of ash trees which grew here when the area was still part of the famous Sherwood Forest.
