Living
Relax and enjoy
Children of all ages are well catered for in the area, too. Park House Primary is next to the development, Warren Park Primary is about a third of a mile away, while the nearest secondary school – Park Community – is within a quarter of a mile. Sixth form facilities can be found at Oaklands Catholic School.
For shopping, entertainment, leisure and sports facilities on a grander scale, try Havant’s thriving town centre which offers many of the popular high street name shops plus a selection of bars, restaurants and cafés for you to indulge in.
So much to see and do
From Havant the south coast is your oyster. Shopping doesn’t get much better than at the multi-million pound Gun Wharf Quays in Portsmouth orWest Quay in nearby Southampton; and there’s entertainment to match in the bars, cafés, clubs, restaurants, cinemas and theatres of both cities.
If you prefer a little peace and quiet, the beaches of Hayling Island and the pretty Hampshire countryside of the South Downs are both easily accessed from Cedar Park. There are lots of other places around the area in which to enjoy quality time. The Isle of Wight has tons of fun for all the family, or try the Historic Dockyards in Portsmouth or board a boat for a tour of the city’s harbour. Other attractions which should top your ‘to do’ list include Marwell Zoological Park and Paultons Park, which is one of the south’s leading theme parks.
And with so much to do, it’s just as well that getting out and about around Havant is simple. The A3(M), A27, M27 and M3 are all within easy reach. If you prefer to travel by train, the station at Bedhampton provides regular services around the area. There is also a direct rail service which will take you from Havant to London Waterloo in around an hour and a half* .
If you have to travel abroad for business or pleasure, the ferry port at Portsmouth has direct connections to France and Spain, while there is an international airport at Southampton.
