SHOPS
Cambourne has its very own high street offering familiar shops including a pharmacy with a post office, a dry cleaners and a building society. Morrisons supermarket opened in 2002 with its popular market street approach. Within Morrisons there is an ever busy cafe, it also has a petrol station. All the high street names can be found in Cambridge with its new Grand Arcade offering many shopping and dining facilities.
SCHOOLS
Cambourne has two primary schools, Monkfield Park Primary School in Lower Cambourne which opened in April 2000 and The Vines Inter-Church Primary School in Upper Cambourne which opened in September 2005. The temporary accommodation for a third primary school is currently under construction in Great Cambourne. Older children living in Cambourne fall into the catchment for Comberton Village College.
TRANSPORT
Cambourne is just 6 miles from the M11 at junctions 13 and 14. It is just 11 miles to the A1. A regular bus service runs between Cambourne and Cambridge City Centre and also Cambourne and St Neots. See www.stagecoachbus.com for more details.
Cambridge and St Neots both offer a fast and frequent rail service into London. Stansted International Airport lies approximately 34 miles south along the M11.

The nearest hospital is Addenbrookes in Cambridge.

From the West/North A14 & A1(M):
Exit the A1(M) at Junction 14, then follow the A14 towards Cambridge. Exit the A14 at Junction 24 and follow the A1198 signposted Royston through Papworth Everard. At the junction with the A428 take the first exit signposted Cambridge and Cambourne.
Take the slip road signposted Cambourne. At the roundabout take the fourth exit. At the next roundabout take the second exit. Follow the local directions for Cambourne below.
From the South M11:
Exit the M11 at Junction 13 and turn left signposted Bedford (A428). At the roundabout take the second exit signposted A428. After approximately six miles, take the slip road on the left to Cambourne. At the roundabout take the first exit. Follow the local directions for Cambourne below.
From the South A1:
Exit the A1 at the junction with the A428, branching left to Cambridge. After approximately 10 miles take the slip road signposted Cambourne. At the roundabout take the fourth exit. At the next roundabout take the second exit. Then follow the local directions for Cambourne below.
Cambourne local directions:
From the A428 turn into Cambourne. At the first roundabout, take the first exit onto Cambourne Road. At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto Back Lane. At the next roundabout go straight on (staying on Back Lane). Follow the Taylor Wimpey visitor signs.
