Laurel Grove, Pulloxhill

Pulloxhill is a small village located in central Bedfordshire. The village has a church, primary school and a two traditional public houses, one of which sells basic groceries. There are a few local dentists and doctor's surgeries are in and around the area towards Flitwick which is just 2 miles distant.
Flitwick is the closer larger town of which a local market is located and has regular stalls selling a wide variety of goods. Also around the local area of Flitwick are a number of activities to appeal to the whole family.
Flitwick Manor was originally part of the Manor Estate and was purchased by the Town Council to preserve it for the community.
A little further afield is Bedford which offers Priory Country Park which is an established green area, of around 360 acres, made up of lakes, meadows and woodland, all partially enclosed within a bend in the river Great Ouse. It is managed, for the benefit of both wildlife and visitors, by Bedford Borough Council as a site for passive recreation, including walking, fishing, dog walking, cycling, sailing, canoeing and kite flying.
For education, there is Bedford High School for Girls was founded in 1882. They have a long tradition of academic excellence for girls aged from 7 to 18 who choose to attend as day girls or boarders. Also there is Bedford School which is a boarding and day school for boys aged 7-18.
For larger shopping days, The Harpur Shopping Centre is the premier shopping venue in the heart of Bedford, a varied cross section of national retailers including Boots, W.H. Smith, Argos, Vision Express, Primark, Fraser Hart, Topman, Sports Direct and a wide range of shops offering services such as hairdressing and café facilities.
