Development Details
Tiverton is an attractive and bustling market town situated where the River Exe and the River Lowman meet. The surrounding mid-Devon countryside is spectacularly beautiful and particularly suited for those who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle, with many opportunities for walking, cycling, riding and water-based sports.
The historic pannier market in the town centre has stalls selling a huge range of produce and household goods.
Moorhayes Park is a popular area of Tiverton in which to live, as the mix of architectural house styles and sizes provides an exciting environment in which to make a home.
Enjoy the splendid rolling countryside that surrounds these charming homes with the added benefit of being an easy walking distance from town.
There are plenty of trees and open grass spaces, and the town leat runs through the area, providing a pretty water feature whilst maintaining a sense of history amongst the new buildings. The local centre houses a small supermarket and a children’s nursery and there are plans to construct a community centre complete with playing field for sports facilities. The latest phase of Devonshire Homes’ development at Moorhayes ranges from two bedroom apartments through to four bedroom detached houses. There is, quite simply, something for everyone, whether you are a first time buyer, a growing family requiring more space, or someone who is downsizing from a larger house.
The attention to detail and superb design features ensure that Devonshire Homes will provide you with a house you will be proud to call your home.
Location
Positioned in a beautiful rural location on the outskirts of Tiverton, Moorhayes Park is the perfect choice for those who appreciate the finer things in life.
Exmoor National Park is only a short drive away, which is an outstanding area for enjoying country pursuits, whilst for the less energetic there are plenty of sight seeing opportunities. Beach lovers have the choice of the wide and open expanses of the north coast surfing beaches or the sheltered picturesque coves of the south coast beaches; both are within easy driving distance of Tiverton.
Despite the rural location, Tiverton enjoys fast road and rail links with many major towns and cities; the North Devon Link Road bypasses the town providing easy access to the M5 and onwards to Bristol, Exeter and further afield. The mainline station is about 7 miles to the east of Tiverton and trains to London take just over two hours. Exeter Airport - from where there are many convenient domestic and international flights - is a 30-minute drive away and the cross channel ferry port at Plymouth is easily accessible.
There is a modern, spacious and well-appointed leisure centre in the town, providing two swimming pools, extensive gymnasium facilities and tennis courts. On the edge of the town there is a brand new hospital, which enables Tiverton residents to receive outpatient and inpatient care without having to travel far from home. Choices for schooling are excellent, with a number of primary schools within Tiverton and the surrounding villages. Tiverton High School and the East Devon College share a campus and between them provide secondary schooling, sixth form studies and vocational training. The historic Blundell’s School provides private education for children aged from pre-prep to 18.
There is a very pleasant town centre, with national chain stores intermingled with a wide variety of locally owned and individual shops.
