Barratt is giving buyers the chance to get onto the property market in Scunthorpe for less.
Barratt's Dream Start shared equity scheme enables people to purchase a new apartment at Fusion in Scunthorpe for just 75 per cent of its value, with the rest deferred through an interest-free loan.
Graydon Worthing, sales director for Barratt West Midlands, said: "Dream Start is a scheme we use at Fusion to ensure a wider catchment of first time buyers and people on lower incomes are able to afford a property."
He added that homebuyers can also sidestep finding equity for a deposit by taking advantage of the loan offered to them.
Through the scheme, a house on the market for £115,000 can be bought for £86,250, giving people a greater chance of getting onto the property ladder.
The National Association of Estate Agents reported that the difference between asking and selling prices stood at 1.9 per cent in June.
