Homeowners have given a glowing endorsement to Taylor Wimpey's Leybourne Chase development.

  • Residents at Taylor Wimpey's Leybourne Chase development of new houses and apartments in Kent were asked for their opinions on the properties and service in a survey carried out by the National House Building Council (NHBC).

    And 95 per cent of respondents said they would definitely recommend the development to friends and family.

    Homes at Leybourne Chase include two bedroom apartments from £169,995, three bedroom houses from £249,995 and four bedroom properties from 294,995.

    The three bedroom Burgess semi-detached home is priced from £299,995, and features a kitchen/dining room, living room opening through French doors to the private garden, plus a handy guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

    Upstairs, the landing leads to the ensuite master bedroom, two further bedrooms, a study and main bathroom, while outside the property benefits from a car port and additional allocated parking.

    Taylor Wimpey offers a range of incentives. They include help with deposits and the Government-backed First Buy shared equity scheme for first time buyers, assistance with finding a purchaser and part exchange for those with a property to sell.

    Leybourne Chase is set within the leafy grounds of the former Leybourne Grange manor house and hospital.

    Nearly two thirds of the development site - some 140 acres - is being preserved as green open space for recreation and leisure, including parks, recreation grounds, fields, children's playgrounds, sports pitches, a trail footpath, community allotments, lake and an arboretum.

    A brand new community centre is now open at the development, and in time Leybourne Chase will also enjoy a good selection of local amenities, including a convenience store and a health centre.

    Local facilities already within easy reach include infant and junior schools, shops and pubs, while nearby Aylesford is home to a wider choice of shopping and schools for youngsters of all ages.

    For commuters, West Malling railway station is just over a mile from the development and provides regular services to London Victoria. Maidstone is only seven miles away by road, while quick links to the M20 means central London is within easy reach.
