Biagio and Katrina Arancio are moving into their second Barratt home and then marrying just six weeks later.

  • With an existing apartment at the house builder's Manor Farm development, the couple wanted to move to a larger Barratt home nearby at The Meads, Bristol, and be settled in time to finalise arrangements for their wedding.

And a part exchange scheme helped speed up the entire process.

"We were living in my apartment not far from The Meads but we wanted to move," said Biagio. "The customer service I had from Barratt before was superb. And we were keen to buy from them again.

"So we visited the new development to see if there was something that might suit us for our first home together. And we spotted the Dumont design.

"The house was exactly what we were looking for. But we wanted to move quickly so that our wedding plans weren't interrupted. The sales team at Barratt told us about the 100 per cent part exchange scheme on offer at The Meads. And that was that - the process was complete within seven days."

With its part exchange service, Barratt buys existing homes for 100 per cent of the market value. This allows people to buy and sell in one move.

There are no estate agents' fees to pay and no worries about the dreaded house buying chain breaking.

The four bedroom Dumont features a lounge with french doors to the garden, open plan kitchen and dining room and a separate utility room.

Upstairs, there is a master bedroom and three further bedrooms.

"This has been an incredibly busy but thoroughly enjoyable chapter for us," added Biagio. "And I know we couldn't have moved into our new home as quickly as we did without part exchange and the service we again received from Barratt."
