  • One of the homes available at The Hedgerows in Thurcroft, South Yorkshire, is plot 25, the Barwick.

The three bedroom home is the perfect choice for a first time buyer or small family. Its features include a contemporary kitchen diner, lounge with dining space and an ensuite bathroom. Buyers can snap up this home for £144,995.

The Hedgerows, once complete, will consist of 150 three and four bedroom homes. As well as a range of properties that have been specifically designed to meet the needs of today's buyers, there are some great schemes to help get them moving.

Offers include part exchange, free carpets, stamp duty paid, help with legal fees, low deposits and the chance to make the move for just 80 per cent of the purchase price thanks to the Help to Buy shared equity scheme.

Help to Buy has been designed to give first time buyers a route to home ownership at the lowest possible cost and with the lowest possible deposit. Buyers will be offered a loan of up to 20 per cent of the price of the property, jointly funded by Barratt and the Government.

Each of the homes at The Hedgerows also comes complete with a five year guarantee on all fixtures and fittings.

The Trans Pennine Trail is just a stone's throw away from the development, offering an abundance of nature and wildlife while transport links are available to the nearby cities of Rotherham, Barnsley and Sheffield.

Niki Jefferson, sales manager for Barratt's Yorkshire West division, said: "Buyer confidence is steadily improving and we're seeing encouraging demand for our homes. The Hedgerows is set to offer buyers a wonderful community environment with a wealth of amenities just a stone's throw away.

"The fact that we are starting a new site is also good news for local subcontractors and the supply chain. We continue to highly value the strong relationships we have with our partners in the build process and hope that Thurcroft residents will be able to see the great amount of benefits that this new development will bring to the area.

"Barratt's continued investment in this region highlights how strong and vibrant the area is and we hope reflects the requirements of local buyers."
