  • Barratt is inviting prospective first time buyers to take a look at its affordable new homes.

Greenkeepers Mews in Biddenham and De Balliol Chase in Kempston may see a wave of first time buyers interested in affordable homes in Bedfordshire.

Paul Walker, sales director for Barratt's Northampton office, said: "Buying a home for the first time can seem like a daunting task, but it really doesn't have to be.

"We have a range of services that are ideal for first time buyers."

The FirstBuy Direct scheme and the house builder's Head Start payment deferral service help buyers struggling to raise a deposit.

In addition, Barratt offers a loan scheme with Hitachi Capital, allowing parents to help their children to secure a new home.

Alternatively, Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks recently launched the Regular Home Saver, designed to help homebuyers build a deposit to secure their place on the property ladder.

House hunters are required to make monthly deposits of £200, and will earn interest in line with the Bank of England base rate.ADNFCR-1100-ID-800497082-ADNFCR
