House hunters Claire Dudley and Huw Faircliffe got more than they bargained for when they reserved their new home at the house builder's 1877 development.
The couple are among several customers to have picked their preferred plot off-plan at the 1877 development in Ouseacres, York.
The scheme is named in tribute to the building of what in its heyday was the largest railway station in the world.
Visitors to the development, and listeners of Minster FM, were invited to enter the competition to win a luxury trip for two on the 1930s-styled Northern Belle - travelling through some of Britain's most beautiful scenery while enjoying fine wine and food aboard.
Claire Dudley and Huw Faircliffe entered the free prize draw and were thrilled to be picked from the hat. "We are absolutely delighted," said Dudley. "What a treat - on top of reserving a wonderful new home on such a fabulous development."
The development itself comprises a stunning selection of two, three and four bedroom homes in a quiet corner of Yorkshire - boasting designer kitchens and bathrooms, energy efficiency fittings and the latest hi tech wiring for home entertainment and communication are among the many benefits.
Prices start from £154,950.
The development is just a four minute drive from the railway station and less than 10 minutes from bustling centre of York.
