  • With busy working lives as healthcare professionals, doctors Guy Northover and Ester Verges were keen to cut their daily commutes when the time came to look for a new home together.

The ideal location for the couple was between their respective places of work in Maidenhead and High Wycombe - and they found the perfect spot at Taylor Wimpey's Cliveden Grange development in Marlow.

Northover, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and GP Verges snapped up a four bedroom detached house at the development in a move which ticked all the relevant boxes for the couple.

"As soon as we saw Cliveden Grange we knew it was just the sort of place we wanted to live," said Northover.

"It's a small development, with a nice community feel to it. It seems the perfect place to bring up children, which is ideal as we're expecting our first child in March.

"The schools in the area also have a great reputation, which is something we needed to consider - although as I work with children, I didn't need to research the schools as I already knew how good they were."

Marlow itself holds huge appeal for Verges (35) and Northover (36), who said: "It's got everything we need. It has great shops, meaning we don't have to travel anywhere else, it has a wonderful small town feel to it, it's on the Thames and there's plenty of open spaces for country walks. It's the perfect place to raise a family."

The couple were the first to move into a new home at Cliveden Grange, and have loved every minute of life in their new Taylor Wimpey Marlow house.

"We're so happy with it," said Northover. "The quality of build and specification is really high, the layout is brilliant, and we particularly like the large living room, which is something we really wanted."

Four and five bedroom new houses are priced at Cliveden Grange from £725,000, while six bedroom properties have£830,000 price tags.

All homes at the development are completed to a high standard specification, including energy efficient central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with integrated oven, hob and hood.

To make choosing one of these homes even more appealing, Taylor Wimpey offers a range of helpful homebuyer incentives for those with a property to sell.

Cliveden Grange has a convenient location in Marlow, a thriving town on the banks of the River Thames well known for its association with rowing as the home of Britain's greatest Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave.

The Marlow Town Regatta and Festival takes place on the Thames each summer, while the town is also famous for its superb suspension bridge across the river.

Pleasure cruises and boat trips can be taken on the River Thames, while the town lies at the crossroads of three long distance footpaths - Shakespeare's Way, the Thames Path and the Chiltern Way.

Waitrose and Sainsbury's supermarkets are both within easy reach, and there's a superb selection of amenities just a short distance from Cliveden Grange, including play areas for children, a leisure centre with gym, swimming pool, sports hall and tennis courts, as well as a hospital and library.

Marlow railway station is a short distance from the new homes, providing frequent services to Maidenhead on the main line to London Paddington. The A404 is just a mile away linking to the M40 to the north and M4 to the south, while there are regular buses to the neighbouring towns of High Wycombe, Henley-on-Thames and Reading.
