The property market is being helped out by the Government's scheme.
The HomeBuy Direct initiative is helping people secure a property at Crest Nicholson's One Brighton development for less.
HomeBuy Direct is a new scheme designed to be a stepping stone to home ownership. First time buyers are able to secure a new home at One Brighton at just 70 per cent of the property’s asking price.
It makes a one bedroom apartment at the development priced at £179,950, an even more competitive £125,965 with HomeBuy Direct.
Chris Warner, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson Regeneration, explained: "Just over a third of homes at One Brighton have now been sold, with only 10 apartments remaining in the first phase.
"The ongoing popularity of One Brighton is very gratifying, especially given recent market conditions."
Residents at the properties can benefit from rooftop allotments and balcony planters as the developer looks to encourage them to grow their own produce.
The chancellor announced in his latest Budget that more money would be given to the HomeBuy Direct scheme, which gives people the opportunity to get their hands on their ideal property for less.
