The house builder welcomed the mayor of Withernsea to mark the official opening of its new show home.
Councillor Kevan Hough, mayor of Withernsea, cut the ribbon to the Persimmon Homes three bedroom detached house, giving the development his seal of approval.
Close to the seafront, the Meadowdale site features two, three and four bedroom houses plus a range of two bedroom semi-detached and detached bungalows. There are 60 homes in total.
Councillor Kevan Mayor, who was accompanied by the mayoress, local businesses and the town's estate agent, welcomed the opening.
He said: "I am delighted to see a leading housebuilder investing in the Withernsea area. This new development will provide a range of spacious homes suitable for first time buyers through to growing families and will suit a range of budgetary needs."
Persimmon Homes field sales manager, Bev Lawson, added: "We were very pleased that the mayor accepted our invitation.
"Persimmon Homes is committed to east coast towns and presently has developments in Hornsea, Bridlington and now Withernsea."
Persimmon Homes has previously built in the area, concluding in 2010. The success of this latest development will see further expansion of new homes in the future.
Persimmon Homes provides a range of incentives including the Government schemes, NewBuy and First Buy in addition to its part exchange package to help ease the moving process.
