Model James Pitt has taken a step off the catwalk and into the Sales Information Centre of Limes Park development in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
James Pitt, 25, works as a freelance model but, with a degree in Interior Architecture, has decided the time is right to get a 'proper' job in the housing industry.
He still fits modelling into his busy schedule, having recently taken part in Essex Fashion Week, but is thoroughly enjoying the challenges of his new role as a sales executive at Limes Park.
"I never really planned to become a model," explains Pitt. "I started off four years ago when I was egged on by friends to enter a UK competition and came second, which I never expected.
"That led to me being featured in the News Of The World and on TV's This Morning and I was signed by Oxygen Models in London. I then went freelance and kept doing jobs that way, but I've decided it's now time to get a proper job.
"I was always interested in working in the housing industry. I studied Interior Architecture at university and I also worked as an estate agent for a while to get a bit of experience.
"I've done a six month stint on the office side of things with Taylor Wimpey and now I'm working as a sales executive at Limes Park. I'm really lucky to have been taken on by a good company."
Pitt says he is relishing the challenges of his new job and loves the wonderful leafy surroundings of the development in Basingstoke.
"It's a really nice location and we're really busy here. I've been enjoying meeting different people face-to-face and helping them find the home that perfectly suits their requirements," he says.
One of Pitt's favourite properties at Limes Park is the four bedroom 'Warton' townhouse, which is currently one sale from just £300,000.
"It's on three levels and there's lots of space," he explains. "On the ground floor the kitchen leads through to a lovely conservatory, which doubles as a light and airy dining room, creating a fantastic space for socialising with friends. There's also a large lounge on the first floor and two of the four bedrooms have ensuite facilities. It really is a fabulous property."
Alongside the 'Warton', there's a superb selection of new homes currently available at Limes Park including two bedroom coach house-style apartments from £195,000, and a choice of alternative four bedroom properties from £305,000.
Limes Park is located on the north western fringes of Basingstoke with the town centre just two miles from the development.
The town is home to a choice of music venues, multi-screen cinemas, tennis courts, a leisure park, sports clubs, an ice rink, a swimming pool and bowling alleys. Meanwhile, the open countryside is just a stone's throw away, offering nature trails and opportunities for woodland walks and cycling.
