The retirement developer has named its new Assisted Living development in Seaford, Eversley Court, after an historic hotel which previously stood on the site.
Committed to recognising the historical significance the site has within the local community, the leading developer took its inspiration from The Eversley Hotel, which dates back to 1897, and had pride of place on the town's seafront parade prior to the construction of the famous Beachcomber Pub.
Julie Ward, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy & Stone, said: "We pride ourselves on building communities and not just apartments, so we always aim to select names for our new developments that will have real meaning to the local residents. We wanted to pay tribute to Seaford's heritage, which the Eversley Hotel was a big part of. What better way to highlight this than by naming our new development after it."
McCarthy & Stone is currently building 51 one and two bedroom Assisted Living apartments, exclusively for people aged 70 and over, at Eversley Court located on Dane Road in Seaford.
Its Assisted Living developments offer the independence of retaining home ownership while living in an apartment specifically designed for the over 70s. In addition, they offer a helping hand through flexible care and support packages, including domestic assistance, that make life that little bit easier.
Facilities include a shared lounge, an on-site restaurant, guest suite, laundry room and a lift. A dedicated estate manager ensures the smooth running of the development and staff are on site 24 hours a day. There is also a security entrance system plus 24 hour emergency call points to provide peace of mind for both residents and their families. All properties are low maintenance and energy efficient.
In addition to offering age exclusive apartments, the retirement developer also provides a range of financial services, including a pension annuity service, equity release, legal services and guaranteed funeral plans.
Apartments will be available to buy off-plan in April 2013 with first occupations taking place in December.
