Taylor Wimpey site manager Alex Hemmings has picked up a coveted prize at a prestigious building industry awards ceremony.

  • Alex Hemmings, who is site manager at the house builder's Silver Waters development in Brownhills, was a winner of the Seal of Excellence at the National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards.

His latest success comes after he was awarded an NHBC Quality Award in recognition of his outstanding commitment to producing high quality new homes and to maintaining exceptional standards in every aspect of building work.

Phil Whipps, regional production director for Taylor Wimpey, says: "The Seal of Excellence is only awarded to site managers at the top of their game, so this win means that Alex will be recognised by his peers for delivering the highest house building standards.

"Everyone at Taylor Wimpey in the Midlands is delighted for him and I would personally like to thank him for his hard work and congratulate him for his fantastic achievement."

Seal of Excellence winners really are the cream of the crop when it comes to delivering outstanding new homes and maintaining the safest and most efficient building sites.

The recipients are whittled down from the year's Quality Award winners who, in turn, are selected from more than 18,000 NHBC-registered house builders running sites up and down Britain.

Each site manager undergoes a stringent selection process with independent judges visiting developments at key stages of construction to assess them on all aspects of house building.

There's a superb selection of homes currently available at Silver Waters, including three bedroom semi-detached properties from £164,995 and four bedroom detached designs from £239,995.

Silver Waters is an exceptional collection of just 36 private homes, which is at the forefront of the exciting regeneration of Brownhills, and benefits from a convenient location within easy reach of a host of town centre amenities, including shops, cafes and restaurants, and a large Tesco superstore.

Schools for children of all ages are located close to the new homes, while commuters will appreciate the town's good public transport links and close proximity to the A5, the A461, the M6 Toll and the M6 for connections around the Midlands.
