  • New recruit Vanessa Randall-Short joins the housebuilder's southern division, based in Clevedon, Somerset.

Randall-Short brings over 20 years' experience in the new homes sector, having worked for a number of major housebuilders including Crest Nicholson and Bellway Homes. She lives near Tiverton, Devon.

She said: "It's fantastic to join such a strong team at Elan Homes. We are a privately owned business and are really able to focus on our customers' needs. That means buildings high quality homes in the locations people aspire to live and providing a standard of customer service that is second to none. In my new role, I will be providing support to our site based sales teams across our developments in south Wales and the south west.

"Elan creates really individual developments, designing homes intelligently inside and out to meet the needs of modern life. It's a product I'm very proud to be selling and that is an ethos that runs right through the company. We are all looking forward to a time of positive growth for the business."

In recent months, Elan has been working progressively to expand its operations in the south of England and south Wales. Earlier this year it moved its regional head office from Cardiff, to brand new headquarters in Clevedon - a strategic relocation to ensure that the division's base is more central for current and future developments.

Sales director Andrea Nippe said: "We are delighted to welcome Vanessa to the team and believe her appointment has really strengthened the sales department as we actively look to continue the company's growth. We have recently launched a number of new sites and are also actively seeking to increase our land bank."

The business will mark its fifth anniversary in November and, although Elan is still a fairly new company, the team has a wealth of experience in the building industry.

Developments in the south include Harcourt Grange in Fernhill Heath, Worcester, and Mill Brook in Wotton under Edge. The housebuilder recently launched a number of new developments including Blenheim Grange in Malvern, Harbin Fields in Yeovil, Somer Mews in Radstock near Bath, and Parc Gwyn-Faen in Gorseinon, south Wales.

Together with its developments in the south, Elan's northern division also builds new homes across the north west, Wales and the Midlands that meet the needs of local people and create vibrant and sustainable communities.
