The house builder is joining Persimmon and Walker Residential in a major Dumbarton housing development.
House builder Taylor Wimpey has signed a deal to buy 11 acres of land at Lomondgate, Dumbarton, where it plans to build 110 new homes.
If the planning application is granted, the developer will join Persimmon Homes and Walker Residential in building a number of two, three and four bedroom homes at the gateway to Loch Lomond, the Lennox Herald reports.
Walker Residential and Persimmon have already begun building houses at the site and the first new homes are due for completion later this month.
"The scope of our proposed plans will ensure there's a wide choice of homes to suit a wide range of buyers and we’re confident they'll share our vision for their new community," Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey in west Scotland, told the newspaper.
Taylor Wimpey also recently received planning approval for the redevelopment of the Whittingham Hospital site in Preston, Lancashire, which will see 650 new homes built.
